Biographical Information
"Chitra, who received an MBE in the 2009 New Year Honours List, is currently Vice Chairman of the BBC Trust. Chitra's former roles include: Member of the General Medical Council, Broadcast Council member of the Advertising Standards Authority, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs at the Food Standards Agency and a Lay Member of the Review Body for Judicial Complaints."[1]
