Biographical Information
"Chris has worked in the oil, energy and financial services sectors in the UK and internationally. He joined BP in 1970 where he gained experience in Supply, Refining and Marketing roles, including time in Rotterdam, the United States and Madrid, where he led BP's market entry to Spain. Having led Air BP, he moved as Chief Executive to BP Oil UK and then to Oil Trading International during which time he served as Deputy Chairman of ICE Futures Holdings PLC. Latterly Group Vice President, Human Resources for BP, heading a global team of 1800 HR professionals responsible for 100,000 employees, he has also held a number of influential posts in industry related bodies and government task forces including the Energy Institute, UK Petroleum Industry Association and the Civil Service Management Board sub-committee on Professional Skills for Government. In June 2006 Chris was appointed Visiting Executive Professor at Henley Management College (now Henley Business School). He was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of ICE Clear Europe from February 2008 to end 2010 and is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of ICE Futures Europe where he chairs the Risk and Audit Committee. Chris has served as a Trustee of the Institute of Business Ethics since September 2005 and was appointed Chairman in September 2006. He is a keen musician and is the Organist at Barnes Methodist Church."[1]
