Circuit City was the second largest consumer electronic retailer in the U.S. It went out of business January 2009. As of March 2006, it operated 626 retail outlets. It also had operations in Canada and elsewhere. Best Buy is the biggest electronics retailer.[1][2]
Systemax Inc. (NYSE:SYX) now owns the CircuitCity website which continues as an online retailer.[3]
