Background

Clearwater LNG Terminal was a proposed LNG terminal in Oxnard, Ventura County, California, United States.[1] In August of 2007, NorthernStar Natural Gas announced that state and federal agencies had reviewed their licensing application and deemed it complete, which initiated the agencies' preparation of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Impact Report. [2] However, Clearwater LNG withdrew their application in October of 2008 prior to issuance of the Maritime Administration's decision. [3]
