Biography
Clifford E. Douglas was an attorney and consultant with the American Cancer Society on tobacco tax issues. Douglas persuaded ABC News in 1992 to investigate the industry's manipulation of nicotine. Douglas spoke on ABC's "Day One" program (BNA TLR 6/29/94). He was co-author of, "Contributing to Death: The Influence of Tobacco Money on the U.S. Congress," a report by Public Citizen's Health Research Group, October 1993. Douglas is leaving PCHRG to work for a Senate subcommittee in Washington DC, starting 8/15/94 (V. DeNoble 8/2/94).
