Clive Frederick Palmer (born 26 March 1954) is an Australian mining magnate and politician. He has iron ore, nickel and coal holdings. In September 2013, he became the federal member for the seat of Fairfax.

Mining Career

Palmer is the chairman of his resource company Mineralology, and also chairs a number of other businesses.

Political Career

In 2013 Palmer created the Palmer United Party to contest the up-coming 2013 federal election. He ran in the seat of Fairfax and won in by 53 votes in a recount[1]
