Background
In its March 2012 newsletter, Stoked, Bathurst Resources states that "work at Takitimu will begin to wind down around April. Some of the overburden from Coaldale will be placed directly into the exhausted Takitimu pit to begin the rehabilitation there."[1]
In a March 2012 conference presentation Bathurst Resources states that the mine is proposed to operate for six years at 170,000 tonnes per year. The company also foreshadows that it is aiming for a "long term extension into [the] high quality Black Diamond deposit" with the aim being "larger scale export potential".[2]
