Coastal Tamil Nadu Power
{{#Badges:CoalSwarm|navbar-Indiacoal}}Coastal Tamil Nadu Power, a subsidiary of the Indian government's Power Finance Corporation, is the special purpose company created to develop the 4000 megawatt Cheyyur Ultra Mega Power Project located at Cheyyur in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. A CTNPL document states that it is carrying out preliminary work up to the selection of a developer for the project.[1] The project would also involve the construction of the Panaiyur coal terminal, a "captive port" proposed to be constructed near the village of Panaiyur, Tamil Nadu, India. The coal loader would be approximately 5 kilometres to the east of the main power plant location at Cheyyur. Coal would be transported from the port to the power station via a closed conveyor system.[2]
