Colgen was founded in 2003 by Colonel (Ret.) Jack H. Pryor and MG (Ret.) Robert H. Scales Jr.. Scales is a participant in the Pentagon military analyst program and a military analyst for Fox News and National Public Radio. [1]

Its focus is "Landpower and the Services that provide it; The Army, Marine Corps, Special Operations Forces, The Army National Guard, Army and Marine Corps Reserve, and other related landpower forces such as CIA direct action, homeland security and law enforcement."
