Background

Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C., a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan, operates the 4,300 mile pipeline system which delivers gas from production areas in the Rocky Mountains and the Anadarko Basin to Colorado, Wyoming, the midwest, Southern California, and the Pacific Northwest. The pipeline system is a capacity of 5.15 bcf/d.
