Corona Power LLC operates in the power generation sector. The company was incorporated in 2005 and is based in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania. The company is categorized under "investment advice."
In July 2006 Sunbury Generation LLC and its Sunbury Steam Station were sold to Corona Power.[1] In 2006, Corona Power sought and won a substantial reduction in the tax assessment of the property. The assessment was cut by more than two thirds. Additionally, there is a freeze on the assessment for several years regardless of improvements made on the property.[citation needed]
In October 2007 Corona Power, working with Merrill Lynch, started the process of seeking buyers for the 400 megawatt Sunbury Generation facility. However in 2009 Sunbury Generation is still operated by Sunbury Generation alongside its general partner, Corona Power, in Shamokin Dam.[2]
