Dale Robertson is a former Marine who claims to be the "founder of the modern Tea Party." He is the founder and president of the Web site TeaParty.org.

Biography

According to the Web site teaparty.org, after completing his duties with the Marine Corps, Robertson reenlisted into the U.S. Navy and became a U.S. Naval Officer. During his time of service, his group was first to the scene at the September 11, 2001 attacks 9/11 and first to launch an offensive in Afghanistan. He was stationed on the U.S..S Sacramento and retired from the military in 2003 after 22 years.[1][2]

Allegations of racism

Dale Robertson was photographed at a February 27, 2009 Tea Party event in Houston, Texas holding a sign that read “Congress = Slaveowner, Taxpayer = Niggar” (with the "N" word spelled incorrectly). He was reportedly kicked out of the event due to the sign.[3]
