Background

Dalian LNG Terminal is an LNG terminal in Liaoning, China.[2]

Operational since 2011, Dalian’s LNG sources are mainly from Qatar, Australia and Iran and after regasification is sent for use in northeastern China.[3] In late 2016, PetroChina began testing a new storage tank which could double its receiving capacity to 6 million tonnes per year.[4]

In March 2018 it was reported that the terminal's capacity is now 10 mtpa.[5]
