Statements made by the Labor Party Premier David Bartlett on the Tasmanian state election include:
- July 17, 2009: Bartlett stated that "I'm fully expecting this election to go down to the wire as to whether Tasmanians want to re-elect a renewed Labor Government for the future or whether they want to see a hung parliament with the Greens controlling jobs and the economy in Tasmania."[1] The Mercury also reported that "their election platform was based on managing water assets to make Tasmania Australia's food bowl, rolling out a fibre optic network, investing in renewable energy and education and creating 'new generation' jobs."
