David Blackmon is Director of Government Affairs (a lobbyist) for the El Paso Corporation, a methane gas drilling and pipeline company based in Houston, Texas. Blackmon previously served as Communications Manager for Shell Oil Company. He sits on the board of the non-profit Consumer Energy Alliance, a front group for the extractive energy industries.[1][2]
David Blackmon has also worked for America's Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA). He is currently a partner at FTI Consulting, a PR company that works with the oil and gas industry. FTI Consulting runs the front group Energy In Depth, where David Blackmon is a "field director."[3]
