Alan Broome is a director of Solid Energy, a New Zealand government-owned coal company.[1]
A biographical note on Solid Energy's website states that he is "a consultant at Chapman Tripp and was previously a partner at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts (for 21 years) specialising in commercial structuring and taxation law. David is a current Board member of Fulbright New Zealand (2009 to present); Chairman of Tennis New Zealand (2007 to present); and Former Chairman, International Fiscal Association, New Zealand Branch (2006 and 2007)."[1]
