Deborah J. Ayers (known as Debbie Ayers) was a Philip Morris Associate Principle Scientist and Nicotine-Free Plant Supervisor. As a supervisor, she had responsibility for Dr. Vedal Malik's work regarding a nicotine-free plant at Philip Morris. (Castano Glossary). Ms. Ayers was promoted to the position of Research Scientist in the Biochemical Research Divison on November 26, 1985.[1]
