Background

Dock Sud LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG regasification import terminal on the La Plata River in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It would be located near existing port infrastructure in the Dock Sud district, an industrial hub with a refinery and a large petrochemical industry footprint. In October 2016, state-controlled entity YPF, which conducts LNG purchases on behalf of state-owned Enarse, initiated negotiations with Corporacion America for the construction of the facility.

There have been no development updates since 2016 and the project is presumed to be shelved.
