Duralie mine is an existing open cut coal mine owned by Gloucester Coal. The project is located 20 km south of Stratford in New South Wales.
Coal from the existing Duralie mine, the company states, is "integrated with the Stratford Operation maximising the use of the existing Stratford infrastructure and facilities. Run of Mine coal is transported to Stratford by using a shuttle train on the existing rail line."[1]

Expansion prospects
The expansion, which is currently the subject of a feasibility study, would produce 1.2 million tonnes a year of thermal coal and cost $55 million to construct. The project would employ 135 people when operating.[2]
