Description
The environmental tobacco smoke Issue Management Group was a subcommittee of the UK Tobacco Advisory Council. The committee was formed to "confront the growing critical body of opinion on environmental tobacco smoke." Strategies included using the industry-wide recommended theme of "maintain doubt (principally via third parties)" [620805325, Managing the environmental tobacco smoke Issue]. Two subcommittees included PRC (Public Relations Committee) and RC (Research Committee). TAC members included British American Tobacco, Rothmans, Gallaher, Imperial Tobacco Co. & Manchester Tobacco Co.
