Earthpark
Earthpark
"Focused on the compelling need for environmental education and awareness, Earthpark’s™ programs and exhibits will emphasize natural science, sustainability, renewable energy and green technologies. Learning tools will include a 4-acre indoor rainforest biome with a 575,000 gallon integrated forest-floor aquarium, learning center and research facilities. Green design and building technologies will be utilized throughout Earthpark™ and featured as educational opportunities. Through ‘back-of-the-house’ tours, visitors can see these technologies in action and learn how they work. Other tools will include galleries on global hotspots, climate change and other environmental concerns, local ecosystems, art and cultural exhibits. Earthpark™ is expected to open in 2011." [1]
