The Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation is a major financial backer of the religious right in West Michigan and at the national level. The Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation was formed by billionaire auto parts manufacturer Edgar Prince and his wife Elsa Prince Broekhuizen. [1]
Religious Contributions
The Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation has donated millions of dollars to such religious groups as Focus on the Family, Promise Keepers, Don Wildmon's American Family Association, and the Family Research Council that Edgar Prince co-founded with Gary Bauer. [2]
In 2003 the Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation donated $4,800,000 over a series of 29 religious grants. [3]
In 2002 the Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation donated $2,978,000 over a series of 38 religious grants. [4]
