Background

El Viajano Altenesol LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal under development in Cordoba, Colombia.[1]

The El Viajano Altenesol LNG Terminal, also known as the Nataly 1 Terminal, is being developed by Altenesol Colombia, a natural gas subsidiary of IAHL corporation. The preliminary design and engineering studies have been completed, and the land at the site has been purchased as well. The AMCS Corporation will be responsible for the engineering and construction of the terminal[2]

In 2013, The subsidiary Altenesol Colombia S.A.S and Geoproduction Oil and Gas Company of Colombia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canacol Energy LTD, signed a 15 year gas supply contract for the LNG terminal project. The contract is for the supply of 17 million cubic feet per day.[3]. In 2015, Alternseol Colombia expanded its gas supply contract involving the LNG terminal to 35 million cubic feet per day.[4]

As of 2015, Altenesol Colombia stated it had the necessary permits to begin physical preparation for the terminal.[5]

There have been no development updates since 2015 and it is presumed to be cancelled.
