The mine has received government approvals but is subject to appeals by environmental groups. If it survives the appeals process, the company is hoping to have the mine in production in mid-2013. The company estimates that it contained 4.1 million tonnes of proved coal resource and an additional 0.3 million tonnes of probable resource. The company estimates that the total proved and probably coal which could be sold could be 3.1 million tonnes.[1]
