The pipeline transports gas from the Kårstø processing complex north of Stavanger, Norway to the receiving facilities at Dornum in northern Germany.[1]

Background
The Europipe II gas pipeline became operational in 1995 and measures 658 kilometers in length and 42 inches in diameter, with a capacity of 21 bcm/year. The pipeline connects gas from Norway's gas fields to Germany and continental Europe.[2] The owner of both the Europipe I and II gas pipelines is Gassled, a joint venture which owns the great bulk of the gas transport infrastructure on the NCS.[3]
