Gene Ulm is a partner in the Republican polling firm of Public Opinion Strategies, and is a leading Republican Party political strategist and pollster. He has been active in Republican campaigns for 25 years, Gene and has conducted polls on behalf of numerous successful U.S. Senate, gubernatorial, congressional and state legislative campaigns.
One of his clients was Governor Jim Douglas of Vermont. In 2008, he polled for Saxby Chambliss, and in 2004, Gene conducted polls on behalf of Senator David Vitter, whose telephone number was disclosed by the "D.C. Madam" prostitution ring in 2007.[1][2]
Ulm has worked on campaigns against physician assisted suicide and has also polled on behalf of gambling, health insurance and school voucher programs that divert taxpayer funds to private schools. He also polled on behalf of campaigns to defeat single-payer health care, and on property rights issues.[3]
