Biographical Information
George Rose "is a non-executive director of National Grid plc, one of the world`s largest utilities, where he chairs the audit committee. Mr Rose is a board member of the Industrial Development Advisory Board, providing advice to the UK`s Secretary of State for Business on applications for financial assistance. Appointed Non-executive Chairman of the audit committee of Laing O'Rourke Limited. Past non executive directorships include Orange plc and Saab AB. Previously a member of the UK`s Financial Reporting Review Panel. Retired from the board of BAE Systems plc, a global defence and security company, in March 2011 where he had served as Group Finance Director for 13 years." [1]
