The pipeline runs from the Minnesota-Manitoba border at Emerson, MN to the Michigan-Ontario border at St. Clair, MI.

Background

The pipeline delivers natural gas from Western Canada to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and eastern Canada. It operated by the Great Lakes Gas Transmission Company, which is owned by TC PipeLines (46.45%) and by subsidiaries of TransCanada (53.55%). Transcanada acquired its interest in the pipeline as part of a 2007 deal that included the acquisition of the ANR pipeline.
