Background
The project was proposed by Parnon Gathering in 2011 to lay approximately 115 miles of new 8-inch pipeline from Cherokee, Oklahoma to Cushing, Oklahoma with capacity 20,000 barrels per day, with the ability to raise the rate to 35,000 barrels per day. It was completed in 2012, and transports crude oil production from central and western Oklahoma and southern Kansas to Parnon Gathering’s tanks located at Cushing.[1]
In 2012 JP Energy Partners acquired Parnon Gathering, and in 2014 its capacity was reported as 27,000 bpd.[2]
In 2016 the pipeline was bought by MVP Holdings, LLC.[3]
