Green Power Energy Holdings Corporation (GPH) is a generator and wholesaler of electric power to electric utilities serving the retail electric market. The company acquired a plant in Kenansville, North Carolina in 2002 and plans to convert it from coal to alternate fuels. It is currently negotiating the purchase of several more plants, and intends to form separate operating companies to own and operate them.[1]

Green Power Energy and Coal
Green Power Energy currently owns and operates a 38-megawatt cogeneration facility Kenansville Plant in Kenansville, North Carolina, which has governmental permits to burn coal, wood, and tire-derived fuels. Green Power also sells steam to an adjacent textile mill.[1]
