Haramachi power station is a 2,000-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Tōhoku, Japan.

Background

The plant is a 2 x 1,000 MW supercritical coal plant owned by Tohoku Power Company. It was commissioned in 1997-1998. Coal is imported via an attached coal port.[1][2]
