Background

Essar Group has proposed to set up a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Hazira of 5 mtpa. As of May 2016 a company spokesperson said of the project: "We are yet to work on detailed plan."[1]

As of March 2019 there is no further news about the project and it appears to be shelved.
