Idaho Power (formally known as the Idaho Power Company) is an investor-owned electricity utility is involved in the generation, purchase, transmission, distribution and sale of electric energy in southern Idaho and eastern Oregon. Idaho Power owns and operates 17 hydroelectric power plants and shares ownership in three coal-fired generating plants. [1]
