Idemitsu Australia Resources (IAR) is an Australian subsidiary of the Idemitsu Kosan of Japan. On its website the company states that IAR "was formed in 2006 to manage Idemitsu Kosan's Australian coal operations".

IAR owns the Boggabri coal mine and Muswellbrook Coal Mine in New South Wales and is a joint venture partner in the Tarrawonga Coal Project in NSW and the Ensham mine in Queensland.[1]
