Pulau Laut Coal Terminal
{{#badges: CoalSwarm|Navbar-Indonesiacoal}} Pulau Laut Coal Terminal is situated on the southern tip of the island of Pulau Laut in Indonesia's South Kalimantan Province.[1] PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT) subsidiary Adaro Indonesia is the developer and operator of the terminal.
It is sometimes referred to as the South Pulau Laut Coal Terminal. The North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal is located to the north.[2]

Location
The terminal is located adjacent to the Java Sea and the Makassar Strait and lies on major Indonesian domestic and international shipping routes.
Background
The terminal began operations in 1997. It has throughput capacity of 12 million tonnes per annum.[3] The port is capable of handling 200,000 DWT coal bulk carriers.[4]
In 2008 IBT entered into a BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) agreement with Shell to develop a fuel storage and distribution center at the terminal. The operation is managed by Shell.[5]
