The Integrated Isaac Plains Project is a proposed expansion of the current Isaac Plains mine which is located approximately 7 kilometres south east of the town of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin region of central Queensland.
The project is proposed by Aquila Resources/Vale. The project, which is currently under construction, will be commissioned in 2010. The project will produce 1.6 million tonnes per annum of coking and thermal coal. The expansion will cost $86 million and employ 100 people during construction and 40 when operating.[1]
