Based on Gilbert, West Virginia, International Industries, Inc. is a conglomerate founded in 1947 by James H. "Buck" Harless. The company conducted business from three divisions including International Resources, Inc., Gilco Lumber, Inc., and Benson International, Inc. and had operations in five states serving domestic and international customers. In 2007 it sold its International Resources Division, which operated coal mines in Central Appalachia, to Lightfoot Capital Partners, LP.[1]

In 1986, International Industries purchased Logan & Kanawha Coal Company (L&K). L&K operates the Camden complex (Mingo County, West Virginia) and the Rockhouse mine (Mingo and Logan counties, West Virginia).[2]
