Izmir Aliaga LNG Terminal is a liquified natural gas (LNG) receipt terminal in Aliaga, 60 kilometers south of Izmir, Turkey.

Background
Izmir Aliaga LNG Terminal is an LNG receipt terminal in Izmir, Turkey owned by EgeGaz.[2] The LNG terminal was the first in the world to be built without firm capacity contracts in place.[3] It received its first LNG shipment in December 2006, more than three years after the facility was commissioned.[3]
The LNG terminal includes two LNG storage tanks, each with a capacity of 140,000 m3, regasification equipment with a capacity of 6 billion cubic meters per year, and a jetty capable of accepting LNG carriers up to Q-Max.[4]
The terminal is used to supply BOTAŞ, Turkey's state-owned oil and gas company.
