Background
Approved in 2016, the Jafrabad FLNG will consist of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Jafrabad, Gujarat. The 5 mtpa capacity is planned to be commissioned in 2019 and a future FSRU will expand the terminal to 10 mtpa.[2]
The proposal was previously planned for the city of Pipavav, and dates back to 2008.[3]
