Biographical Information
"Keenan joined Roark in 2006. In addition to his responsibilities as President and Chief Compliance Officer, Keenan leads Roark’s environmental services team and the investments in QualaWash, Waste Pro and GFL Environmental. Prior to joining Roark, Keenan was Co-Founder and Chairman of IESI Corporation (1996 - 2005). Keenan helped lead IESI from a small Texas based start-up operation into what is now the third largest solid waste management company in North America through organic and acquisition growth. Under Keenan's leadership, IESI completed more than 160 acquisitions and was sold to BFI Canada in 2005 for $1.1 billion. From 2003 to 2005, Keenan helped lead a private energy company through a restructuring that included the divestiture and acquisition of U.S. and Canadian energy related assets and operations. From 1985 to 1996, Keenan served as a General Partner and Managing Director at several private equity funds, including AEA Investors, Inc. and Acadia Partners, L.P., where he played a senior role in all aspects of their investment activities. From 1983 to 1985, Keenan served as a member of the Financial Restructuring Group at Lehman Brothers. Keenan received a B.A., M.B.A., and J.D. from The University of Chicago."[1]
