The Jellinbah East is a coal mine located 90 k m east of Emerald in the Bowen Basin of central Queensland, Australia. The current mine produces 4.0+ million tonnes per year.The mine is owned by Jellinbah Resources, a joint venture of Tremell Pty Ltd (40.08%), Queensland Coal Mine Management Pty Ltd (29.92%), Marubeni Coal Pty Ltd (15%) and Catherine Hill Resources Pty Ltd (15%).[1]

Expansion
The expansion project, which is currently subject to a prefeasibility study, has a notional commissioning date of 2014. The project would produce 1-2 million tonnes per annum of coking coal and cost $50-100 million to construct.[2]
