Jim Ellington is a Republican member of the Mississippi State Senate. He serves on the following committees: Conservation and Water Resources, Judiciary B, Judiciary En Banc, Marine Resources and Ways and Means.[1]

Ties to the American Legislative Exchange Council
Ellington is the Mississippi State Chairman[2] of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), as of July 2011. He also sits on the ALEC Board of Directors.[3] In August 2011, he was given ALEC's 2011 Legislator of the Year Award.[4]
