Energy Future Holdings is a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), as of July 2011, and a representative of EFH sits on the Corporate ("Private Enterprise") Board.[1]

Background
Before working for EFH, Young was Executive Vice President of Finance and Markets at Exelon, an electricity generating and distributing company headquartered in Chicago. He managed the companies' nuclear, coal and hydropower operations.[2]
Company Information
EFH is a privately held energy company with a portfolio of energy companies serving the Texas electricity market: Luminant, TXU, and Oncor.[3] EFH is owned by a group of investors led by private equity firms Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and Texas Pacific Group (TPG), as well as global investment bank Goldman Sachs.[4]
