Biographical Information
Dr John Forrest joined the Board of Restore plc "on 8 November 2010. He has considerable public company Board experience and has held posts at Marconi Defence Systems and the Independent Broadcasting Authority. In 1990 he led the transformation of this organisation into the major broadcast and cable communications company, NTL, of which he was the founder Chief Executive. He was a Board member of 3i Group and has worked widely in the venture and development capital community in the UK, Continental Europe and the USA/Canada, having led IPOs and acquisitions in these countries. He has advised and led both UK government and EU Committees and now has a portfolio of activities, as Chairman of Boards of high growth companies in the technology, healthcare, security and IT sectors. He is President of the Surrey 100, a business angel community, and Pro-Chancellor of the University of Surrey." [1]
