Biographical Information
"A native Ugandan, Nyeko has spent her career working to improve outcomes for impoverished children in Africa. Completing undergraduate degrees in social sciences and law at Makerere University, she has furthered her education with graduate degrees at the University of Swansea (Wales, UK) and Azusa Pacific University. Now a PhD candidate at the University of Victoria, Nyeko is studying in Canada this year.
"After a distinguished career in government in Uganda where she rose to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare, Jolly left the public sector to concentrate on children and families affected by AIDS. A former country director for Feed the Children, she founded and currently runs the Uganda-based Christian social services organization Action for Children. Widely sought after as a consultant and speaker in the international community, she serves on a number of local and national NGO boards. Jolly and her family are members of Nakawa Baptist Church in Kampala."[1]
