Joseph F. Abely served on the R.J. Reynolds Board of Directors from 1977 to 1981. He was Vice President and Chairman for R.J. Reynolds Industries from 1979 to 1984, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1977 to 1984. Abely received degrees in law and business from Harvard.
