Joshua Gilder
Joshua Gilder was a senior speechwriter for President Reagan from 1985-1988 and is one of the founding directors of the White House Writers Group (WHWG), which was founded in 1993 by "five former White House speechwriters", many colleagues from the George H.W. Bush Administration. [1][2]
Media Transparency calls WHWG "an umbrella firm of former ghostwriters for Republican presidents and bureaucrats now at the service of anyone willing to pay."[3]
Gilder has edited or written for The Wall Street Journal, National Review, The New York Post, The Washington Times, The American Spectator and Saturday Review. He also writes for the blog of the pro-business neo-conservative think tank American Enterprise Institute.

Background
According to his WHWG profile, Gilder wrote the speech for Reagan containing the line, 'Go Ahead, Make My Day!' as well as Regan's 1988 Moscow Summit address to students at Moscow State University.[2]
In 1989, Gilder became Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Human Rights under President George H.W. Bush. He was "a consultant and advisor on numerous Presidential primary and general campaigns, including Reagan ’84; Bush ’88; Forbes ’96; Dole ’96; Forbes 2000 and Giuliani 2008."[2]
