Background on Plant
In May 2011, Lüminer Enerji applied for permits to build a 160-MW coal-fired power plant in Malkara district, Tekirdağ province.[1][2]
While there have been no developments on the power station, as of 2018 studies of the Malkara coalfield's investment potential continue.[3]
