The terminal is located approximately 16 kilometers offshore in the Lampung Province at the southeast coast of Sumatra.

Background
The terminal commenced operations July 2014, and is owned by Höegh LNG Partners. It has maximum send-out capacity of 360 mmscf/d of regasified LNG.[1] The early proposal was known as Medan Floating LNG Terminal in North Sumatra, before it was relocated to Lampung.[2]
