Background

In August 2006, Husky Energy announced a CAN$100 million planned expansion of the Lloydminster-Hardisty pipeline. The first phase of the project involved installing two 20-km sections of 24-inch pipe and associated pumps. The second phase involved installing 40 km of 24-inch pipe from Lloydminster to Wainwright, as well as upgrades to pumps and installing equipment at the terminals and pumping station.
